Initially formed as a 3-piece country band in Leelanau County in early 2022, Highway North added Chicago guitar virtuoso Jeff Oliver later that year and then re-formed before year’s end as an acoustic/electric duo featuring founder Mike Campbell (Skyscrapers, Whiskey Charmers, Mosey, and Len Higby) on acoustic guitar and vocals and Oliver on lead guitar and harmony vocals. Campbell’s driving acoustic guitar rhythms and melodic vocals are complimented by Oliver’s ethereal electric guitar embellishments and haunting vocal harmonies. With Campbell’s love of 80’s and 90’s Alternative music and Oliver’s love of Classic Rock ballads, Highway North is positioned for wide audience appeal.\n
